Some of you may remember my dear running friend, Meghan Haggblade, who passed away from a rare form of cancer at 29 years old. Her favorite race was the San Diego Hot Chocolate Run. In her honor, please join Team Meghan for the 2026 Hot Chocolate Run. Plus receive a discount on your race registration.
Steps to register for the Hot Chocolate 2026 event:
At the checkout screen, you must click “Use Coupon.” You must enter: “4meghan5k, 4meghan10k, 4meghan15k” depending on which distance you’re choosing to run, and then click “Apply Coupon”.
After you register, Val will go in and approve your registration to complete the process. Please notify her via email or text once you’ve completed your registration.

Alternatively, you can donate to the Meghan Haggblade Legacy Foundation. The Meghan Haggblade Legacy Foundation supports children of color, rare cancer research and environmental causes. All money donated to the Foundation will be used to honor Meghan’s wishes and to carry on her spirit and desire to help others.
